6.How to find out how often programs are used by our users?

When using the NTFS file system, Windows can store several additional pieces of information about files and folders, which we can use to compile some useful statistics. If we enable this functionality in the file system, we will know not only the file size or the date of its creation, but also the dates of modifications or last access. The last access time stamp is always updated when we access the file – when we open, copy or move it –, so it can tell us when a program was launched for the last time. This information can be easily queried in AIDA64 file scanner.

7.How to find specific files or file types on the network?

AIDA64 Business and Network Audit has a feature called File Scanner, which allows you to scan the PCs connected to the network for specific file names and/or file extensions. This can come in handy, for example, at organizations where a strict security policy is in place. Using this search engine, we can detect all music files stored on the clients, for example, and include this file list in the reports we make of them. To include such file lists in the reports, it is enough to configure the search criteria and to add the File Scanner page to our reports.
